Coaching
Over 40 experienced career coaches volunteer to meet with clients
one-on-one, in group coaching and program opportunities. They are both
employed and retired executives and/or professionally trained coaches
and career management professionals with broad community connections and
notable employment experiences.
CTC coaches
provide professional support to clients through all stages of the job
search process. Clients work with coaches to develop a clearer picture
of desired career directions. Clients collaborate with their coaches to
create an individualized action plan for progress. Coaches help clients
with fundamentals, reviewing resumes and contact letters, company and
industry research, role playing practice for networking and interviews,
evaluating offers and negotiating with potential employers, and, after a
job is acquired, follow-up support to integrate into a new work
environment.
Weekly
Peer Groups
Facilitated by coaches, participation ranges from 10 to 20 CTC clients
at each session. Clients are free to attend any of the weekly peer group
sessions. They are intended to help clients maintain progress in their
job search efforts by sharing "Success Stories, Lessons Learned,
and Best Practices," at a weekly check-in opportunity. Clients hold
each other accountable, share ideas and leads, celebrate successes and
encourage each other in times of rejection, disappointment or temporary
malaise.
Accountability
Groups
CTC's Accountability Groups are cohorts led by clients that meet weekly
for 10-12 weeks spans. Clients submit written commitments to the group
detailing their goals and activities. Group members hold each other
accountable, share ideas and leads, celebrate successes and encourage
each other.
